A fantastic experience at the Torch Lite Inn in Santa Cruz. (room # 220) The room is clean, comfortable, and has everything I need. The location is perfect - just minutes from the beach, the boardwalk, and, most importantly, UCSC where my kids go to school. I stay here whenever I visit them. What stand out is the friendly service and the how clean the room is. It’s clear the management takes pride in keeping the place well-maintained I will definitely be coming back
We stayed a few nights here on a roadtrip and it was everything we needed. Room was spacious and clean, and the location is close to the beach/boardwalk which is fantastic. The owners are so kind and helpful as well. Definitely recommend!
We came all the way from Las Vegas for a 4 day stay. Room was very clean and cozy. We got to be on the second floor facing the boardwalk. So cloae to walk and enjoy the coast. This will defined be our come to place.
Upon arriving at this hotel literally a few minutes from the boardwalk we were greeted by a fellow who may have been the owner...not sure. He was incredibly friendly and helpful. The room was exceptionally clean. The beds were comfortable. We would definitely stay here again.
Our room was nice and clean and the gentleman at the front counter let us park our motorcycle close to the building for extra protection. We wished there was a few more food options though the boardwalk was within walking distance and so were gas stations.
I have never seen the redwoods. So my friend and I were looking for an economical location close to the redwoods and saw the torch light in on booking.com. taking into consideration the area we definitely realized that maybe we would end up in a fleabag motel. You can tell that it is an older motel that wants probably was at one time, but it is newly renovated. It has brand new floors in it, brand new shower stalls, TV, receptacles, crown molding a full size ironing board new iron and great lighting. When we arrived they were cleaning the floors in the breeze way and the welcome scent of chlorine bleach was awesome. this may not be a five-star into other people but for the cleanliness comfortable beds and great care that has been put into this place to bring it up to a great standard is impeccable. If you're planning a trip to Santa Cruz I hope you would enjoy staying at the torch light in. Sincerely Fred
